Framework

«Sofia, Meu Amor!» Is the first show of the ARTÉRIA Network and it will take place in Coimbra, in one and only sessions, on June 30 (6:00 p.m.) and July 1 (3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.). It is a production of Trincheira Teatro, presented en route in Rua da Sofia and surrounding area. Admissions are free but, due to limited vacancy, mandatory (call 919 612 123).

Synopsis
Want a flower? This one is special. Whichever colour you choose, it will allow you to discover a Rua da Sofia that you have never seen, in a trip in three acts, guided by Newspaper Boys - who may be Alchemists or may be cocky.
Sofia, my love separates to reunite, dust, dream and truth to find the filament of gold that runs under this Street World Heritage. A pot of gold that unites the life of those who inhabit it or hang around it with the memories of those who have already passed, who could have been there, who built it, who could have lived and learned there.

Rua da Sofia is the street of wisdom, and knowledge, as children know, is born of breaking things to unite them again, to discover what they may be, to find the gold that hides inside the filthy lucre, to finally find the true Sofia, made of the delicate and eternal filigree of  imagination.

«Sofia, Meu Amor!» Is directed by Pedro Lamas and João Paiva, original dramaturgy by Jorge Palinhos, scenography and costumes by Filipa Malva. The actors of Trincheira are joined  by elements of Teatrão Theater Classes and the Performative Arts Course of Colégio de São Teotónio.

ARTÉRIA is a network with artistic coordination by  Teatrão and academic coordination by the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra. The project articulates cultural programming, artistic creation, scientific follow-up and community participation.
