This initiative follows on from the first edition of the Colloquium on African Feminisms, held in 2025. The conference aims to encourage reflection on mobility, knowledge production, social participation, political and community engagement, and cultural creation amongst African women in Portugal. It also aims to bring the university closer to associations, community organisations and other spaces for knowledge production and public engagement.

Organised by Paula Machava and Eliane Godinho, PhD candidates in Feminist and Queer Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Centre for Social Studies, University of Coimbra, and Catarina Caldeira Martins, researcher at the Centre for Social Studies.
