About
Based on fragments of a clinical case treated by psychoanalytic listening, the problem of racism is discussed as psychic suffering from its social linkage. The concept of trauma, being in the scope of psychoanalytic theory, as well as in studies of the social field, is an important theoretical articulator and is examined in its social and psychic dimensions. Based on a perspective that considers the transmissibility of trauma, the concept of post-memory goes beyond the idea of linear transmission of trauma and expands to a sociocultural conception that includes an ethical-political dimension of the problem of racism.
