Collaboration between thinkers, researchers, intellectuals and artistic creation is fundamental for a critical and transforming look at the contemporary world. In the case of Teatrão, committed to inspire its audience with creations that question and mobilize them about the current state of the world, a very solid working relationship of multiple formats has been built with the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra (CES-UC). With other local, national and international Research Centres as well, but CES is a fundamental and inspiring partner for our activity.

This context from which stems the talk “Colonial War - Present Time”, organized in partnership with the project CROME and connected to the show "Corpses are good for hiding mines”. The talk starts from this show to discuss, 50 years later, questions about the Colonial War. In this case, because the show calls for a current view at ex-combatants, their paths and the impact of this conflict on their trajectories, underlining the complexity and legitimacy of the different places of speech, we invite artists and researchers to establish links between the artistic object and the production of post-colonial knowledge.
