About
Under the motto "Feminist Talks", the XII edition of the Gender Workshop Series proposes a series of talks with people from different areas of intervention and work in the field of gender equality and women's dignity and well being in Portugal and Galicia. In this session, we will talk with Eneida Lombe Tavares, based on her work.
Bio notes
Eneida Lombe Tavares (Barreiro, PT) holds a degree in Product Design at ESAD.CR. Seh lives and works in Caldas da Rainha in a private studio. She has participated in several collective exhibitions in Europe, Brazil and Cape Verde. She also partners with Jorge Carreira at Estúdio Mulato. She has collaborated with brands in Product Design. The research in cultural transit between Portugal and their countries of origins, Angola and Cape Verde, from the materials, artisanal techniques and other rituals, is a permament exercise. Under its black and feminin context, her work refects upon transmission and post-memory.
Grazierla Ares | PhD candidate in the Doctoral Programme "Discourses: Culture, History and Society" of the Centre for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra. Researcher and member of LABTTS - Laboratory of Technologies and Social Transformations of the Department of Scientific and Technological Policy at the State University of Campinas/ UNICAMP (Brazil). BA in Economics and MA in Scientific and Technological Policy at the State University of Campinas/UNICAMP (Brazil). MA in Administration at the University for Applied Sciences of Vorarlberg (Austria). International career in finances, namely in the pulp and paper industry, between 2000 and 2019.
