enLeio, the Libraries, Policy, Reading Research Network promotes this Meeting aiming at a critical reflection and an exchange of ideas and experiences on the economic dimension of the work in libraries and the services provided, taking into account the diversity of the populations to be served and the emergence of new practices during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The professional and student communities of information and documentation and social and human sciences, the users of library and archive services may find the Event encouraging to participate..

The papers (in Portuguese) cover the following topics:

• Moral and political economy of public libraries;
• Culture, market and common goods

The debate on these topics will be facilitated by a group of guest speakers:

A moment of Diversity Readings will be devoted to texts by José Saramago. "If you can look, see. If you can see, notice" are lines inscribed in José Saramago's Essay on Blindness which were the motto for the title of the event.
