About

The discussion about the pressing need for a global shift towards sustainable food production is on the table. In September 2021 the Food Systems Summit will be held in New York. One of the objectives of this meeting is to formally focus on raising issues and proposals for sustainable development. This summit will take place in a context of a correlation of forces between the neo-liberal production model and segments of civil society that point to the urgent need for a new food order, based on agroecology, which guarantees food production for this and future generations. Agroecology is a viable alternative for food production in a sustainable way, compatible with respect for the environment and human nutrition.
