Bio notes

Carlos Nolasco is a researcher at the Center for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra, and member of the research group on on Humanities, Migrations and Studies for Peace (NHUMEP). He holds a PhD (2013), a master's degree (1999) and a degree (1993) in Sociology from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. He was a lecturer in several institutions of higher education, taught subjects in the field of Social Sciences, having held management positions and also in scientific and pedagogical bodies. As a researcher, he participated in research projects at the CES. Its areas of interest are the Sociology of Migration, Sports and Law

Pedro Hespanha. Sociologist and founding member of CES. Professor at the Faculty of Economics of Coimbra. My main research is on the area of Social Policies. I participated as main researcher in several national and international research projects and research networks, dealing with active social policies, social exclusion and poverty, employment and unemployment experiences and strategies. I coordinate the Research Group on Solidarity Economy (ECOSOL/CES)

Pedro Réquio. Investigador júnior no Centro de Estudos Sociais (CES) da Universidade de Coimbra no âmbito do projecto "25AprilPTLab - Laboratório interativo da transição democrática portuguesa". Licenciado em História na Faculdade de letras da Universidade de Coimbra. Mestre em História Contemporânea pela mesma instituição. A sua dissertação de Mestrado intitulou-se Mudança Cultural e Política da Academia de Coimbra: O caso da Via Latina (1958-1962). As suas áreas de domínio centram-se na história política e cultural do século XX e também nas ligações entre a arte, as ideologias e o exercício do poder.

Pierre Marie é investigador em pós-doutoramento no Centro de Estudos Sociais (CES) da Universidade de Coimbra no âmbito do projecto "25AprilPTLab - Laboratório interativo da transição democrática portuguesa". É doutorado em História Contemporânea da Universidade de Coimbra e da Universidade de Caen - Normandie (França). É mestre em Ciências Humanas e Sociais e em História do Pensamento Político pelo Instituto de Estudos Políticos / Sciences Po de Lyon.

Andrés Spognardi.  Post-doctoral fellow at  CES. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Economy from the University of Mar del Plata (Argentina), a Master's Degree in Cooperative Organizations from the University of Bologna (Italy), and a PhD in Political Science from the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa (Italy). His research interests lie at the intersection between economic sociology, political sociology, and organizational studies. Combining historical methods and ethnography, his work explores the interplay between socioeconomic and political structures and non-capitalist economic organizations (cooperatives, nonprofits, self-managed enterprises). His current research project, aims to explain the divergent evolution of industrial self-management in Portugal and Spain since the time both countries completed their transition to democracy in the mid-1970s.
