Abstract
This seminar is intended as a preliminary presentation of the field research of doctoral student Cláudia Maisa Antunes Lins, from the thesis project: “Diálogos do Riso – Um campo aberto para repensar a arte e a educação” [Dialogues of Laughter - An open field to rethink art and education], being developed within the doctoral programme "Post-Colonialisms and Global Citizenship", under supervision of António Sousa Ribeiro and Maria Irene Ramalho. Field research, conducted in public schools and cultural spaces in Brazil and Portugal, is a comparative framework and aims to open a debate about the presence of art in education.
Bio note
Cláudia Maisa Antunes Lins was born in Juazeiro - Bahia - Brazil. Holds a degree in Pedagogy; MA in Education from the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Bahia - FACED-UFBA. She worked as a pedagogue in the project to prepare educational materials for children and adolescents, in the context of social movements in the Brazilian Semi-Arid; participated in several projects of artistic nature, one of which is highlighted in her thesis project: www.dialogosdoriso.com, also happening in the Sertão of Bahia. She is currently a professor at the State University of Bahia (UNEB), developing pedagogical training through the curriculum component "Art and Education". She is a Fellow of CAPES, process nº 0543/14-4.
