Following its first edition in 2013,the Citizenship Forum returns on February 28th, 2015  (Rainha D. Leonor High School, Rua Maria Amália Vaz de Carvalho, 1749-069 Lisbon).

This initiative, promoted by the Pelouro dos Direitos Sociais da Câmara Municipal de Lisboa (CML) [Social Rights Office of the Municipality of Lisbon]  – in partnership with the Centre for Social Studies Observatory on Crisis and Alternatives – under the  Lisbon 2015 - European Capital of Volunteering, aims to gather contributions of Lisbon residents regarding the Municipality’s performance in the field of Social Rights in order to turn into an for citizen participation in city Governance.

This 2nd edition will focus on the  2014-2017 Social Rights Action (PADS).

The main Citizenship Forum goals are:

• Raise awareness of PADS onto city organisations

• Identify local synergies towards cooperation within PADS.

• Obtain contributions towards the implementation of PADS.

The Forum will include fifteen Working Groups (one for each PADS Area) with the specific intention of, in its final report, submitting to the Municipality of Lisbon recommendations complying with the issue at hand, in the context of PADS.
The Working Groups are co-organised by the entities that replied to the Municipality’s Invitation.
