International Colloquium

Monastic Architecture and the City

October 10-11, 2013

Room 2, Centre for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal

We invite researchers interested in the theme of the colloquium to propose a paper for one of the following themes:

1. the medieval city and mendicant architecture;
2. religious houses and the urban space;
3. destruction, repurposing, and urban change;
4. the contemporary city and the monastic heritage.

Proposals may be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish or English, until June 30, 2013, to catarinamarado@ces.uc.pt and should contain the following information:
- author(s);
- institutional affiliation;
- address;
- email;
- title of the proposed paper;
- abstract (max. 250 palavras);
- keywords (max. 5);
- Short biography (max. 250 words).

Each author can only submit a proposal.
Proposals will peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Results will be communicated by July 15, 2013.

Authors of accepted proposals will be invited to submit a paper to colloquium proceedings until December 15, 2013.
