This Colloquium, part of the CES "50 Anos de Abril" initiatives and the series "The Weft of Memory: dates to count", seeks to explore the history(s) of April 25, 1974 from the perspective of East Timorese people: the memories and expectations that were built up during the transition to democracy in Portugal and their impact on the territory, particularly during the process of decolonisation of Timor-Leste between 1974 and 1975.
