Compreender as lógicas do racismo na Europa contemporânea

Projeto TOLERACE | As semânticas da tolerância e do (anti)racismo: organismos públicos e sociedade civil, uma perspectiva comparada

Overview

COVID-19 is exposing the structural inequalities that mark modern European societies. This book seeks, in an educational way, to contribute to a better understanding of institutional racism, that is, of the ways in which racism - deeply rooted in the history of European democracies and in existing socio-economic and political structures - still persists despite an apparent political commitment to eradicate it. Condensing the results of a European project that focused on the meanings of racism and anti-racism in different contexts, this publication explores how these ideas are being shaped by the mediation of civil society organisations, institutions and public policies (at European, national, regional and local levels).
