Framework

By invitation of Turismo UC, CES is part of the Summer Programme 2017 | UC dos Pequenitos, which aims to promote children's programmes to raise awareness of the Heritage of the University to the UC Community. The 2017 edition intends to extend the offer of activities/visits to other organic units/departments, thus allowing a greater dissemination of the history and activities carried out there.

"Football and the City"

At the Centre for Social Studies we carry out research in the social sciences and the humanities in very, very different subjects. For this programme, we chose to consider "football" and "the city". Through interactive dynamics, to be carried out in groups, we will understand how, why and for what we do research on issues related to football and the organisation of a city. Together let's think, organize and assemble "our city" in a collective model and investigate why we are fans of one football club and not another, why we throb when our team scores a goal and how important is this movement around football in the societies in which we live.
