Bio note 

Susana Margarida Gouveia - Graduated in Psychology (Coimbra); Postgraduate in Business Management - Marketing (Évora); Master's in Management, specialising in Human Resources (Évora). Psychologist specialising in Work, Social and Organisational Psychology and Community Psychology. Expert and trainer in psychotraumatology.
She was supervisor of the Mental Health Team of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) and of the team of volunteers of the Serviço de Escuta da Companhia de Jesus.
For the last ten years, she has been an associate researcher at the Trauma Observatory, part of the Centre for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra.
She has lectured on four postgraduate programmes related to psychosocial intervention in crisis, missions and humanitarian aid: the Portuguese Red Cross Higher School of Health; the Portuguese Institute of Psychology; the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences; and the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of the Algarve.)
Collaborated with: Portuguese Red Cross (16 years); Doctors of the World Association Portugal (1 year); European Anti Poverty Network - Portugal (14 months).
She returned to the Portuguese Red Cross on 13 December 2021 and, until 16 September 2021, she was the Coordinator of the Emergency Reception Unit installed in the Former Military Hospital of Belém - which received 132 citizens from Afghanistan, in conjunction with the Ministry of National Defence.
She is currently a psychologist at the Portuguese Red Cross (National Headquarters) and manager of the international project, co-financed by the European Union (EU4Health), in close coordination with the International Federation of the Red Cross and the Psychosocial Centre - involving 24 National Societies of the IFRC and working towards the mass dissemination of psychological first aid.
