International Symposium
On the 30 March 2009 the International Symposium “Poetry of the Colonial Wars: the ontology of the 'shattered-self'” took place, with the participation of researchers and consultants of this project. The conference unveiled some preliminary conclusions, such as the occurence of the war as a theme in the Portuguese canonic poetry, the presence of women among poets who wrote about the war and war poetry as an excess of individual memory (programme).
