21 July, 2011 - In the X Congresso AIL, Universidade do Algarve, the organizers of this project have participated in a session about war poetry:

- Vincenzo Russo (Università degli Studi di Milano) presented the paper História e Poesia: para um cânone da poesia portuguesa da Guerra Colonial;

- Margarida Calafate Ribeiro (Centro de Estudos Sociais / Universidade de Coimbra) presented the paper Guerra, poesia e trauma: leituras da poesia da Guerra Colonial;

- Roberto Vecchi (Università di Bologna / Centro de Estudos Socias) presented the paper Vozes póstumas, memória poética e guerra colonial;

- Ettore Finazzi-Agrò (Università di Roma "La Sapienza") presented the paper A guerra segundo o Seu João: História e Trauma em Guimarães Rosa.

20 July, 2011 - Launch of Antologia da Memória Poética da Guerra Colonial in the X Congresso AIL. The book was presented by Helder Macedo. The event counted on the presence of the organizers of the anthology, Margarida Calafate Ribeiro and Roberto Vecchi.

17 July, 2011 - Luciana Silva presented the paper "Canon littéraire et frontières: la poésie de la guerre coloniale portugaise" at the intensive program L'histoire littéraire aujourd'hui, Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, Netherlands, 15 - 25 July.

15 June, 2011 - Launch of Antologia da Memória Poética da Guerra Colonial in the International Symposium "Children of the Colonial Wars: postmemory and representations", at the Auditorium CIUL and CES-Lisbon. The book was presented by Joaquim Furtado. The event counted on the presence of the organizers of the anthology, Margarida Calafate Ribeiro and Roberto Vecchi, and the editor, José Sousa Ribeiro (Edições Afrontamento).

17 March, 2011 - Luciana Silva and Mónica Silva presented the paper "Guerra colonial: pautas identitarias no canto e contracanto português", at the International Symposium "Música Discurso Poder", Instituto de Letras e Ciências Humanas, University of Minho, 17 - 19 March.

17 February, 2011 - Mónica Silva presented the paper "Sons feridos e silêncios traídos: pautas de uma identidade", at the International Symposium "Portugal entre Desassossegos e Desafios", Centro de Estudos Sociais, University of Coimbra, 17-18 February.

September, 2010 – Roberto Vecchi presents “A memória poética da Guerra Colonial como património de sofrimento”, in II Colóquio Internacional Poéticas do Imaginário, at the University of Manaus, Brazil;

April, 2010 – Hélia Santos and Luciana Silva presented "(Post)Memories of the Colonial Wars: cultural representations", at the Department of Anthropology of the University of Coimbra. The talk focused on both projects coordinated by Margarida Calafate Ribeiro: "Children of the Colonial Wars" and "Poetry of the Colonial Wars".

March, 2009 – Cristina Néry Monteiro presented “.a contínua memória na retina: para uma poética de restos”, in the internacional conference “Poetry of the Colonial Wars: the onthology of the 'shattered-self'”, at Centro de estudos Sociais da Universidade de Coimbra;
