The theme "Media and Trauma" allows different approaches, from the journalistic treatment of potentially trauma-generating situations  - disasters, conflicts, catastrophes - how this treatment will be reflected, in the short, medium and long-term, in participants and victims, audiences and media professionals themselves.

, the Trauma Centre of the Centre for Social Studies and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities/ Communication Section of the University of Coimbra promote this colloquium to think about the practice of journalism in stressful situations.
