O Centro de Estudos Sociais, Laboratório Associado da Universidade de Coimbra, promove a Escola de Verão de Economia Crítica do CES para reunir economistas e outros cientistas sociais em encontros anuais dedicados à discussão de tópicos de interesse comum.

 

Esta série de escolas de verão tem como objectivo promover um fórum de investigação crítica acerca da Economia (enquanto saber) e da economia (enquanto sistema de provisão). A escola é prioritariamente destinada a jovens académicos, estudantes de pós-graduação e investigadores recém doutorados. Os jovens investigadores terão oportunidade de frequentar classes e discutir o seu trabalho com académicos destacados nos seus campos de investigação.

As fundações institucionais da economia:
propriedade, mercados e políticas públicas

Esta primeira edição da Escola de Verão de Economia Crítica do CES é dedicada às fundações institucionais da economia. Mobilizará perspectivas institucionalistas e feministas acerca de duas instituições económicas básicas – a propriedade e os mercados. Particular atenção será prestada à relação entre estas instituições e às políticas públicas, particularmente ao modo como as instituições são moldadas, e permanentemente reconfiguradas, pelas políticas públicas. Os conferencistas abordarão quatro tópicos principais:

1) As fundações da economia: as perspectivas institucionalista e feminista.
2) Direitos, propriedade e direitos de propriedade.
3) Os limites do mercado e a impureza institucional.
4) Políticas públicas e mudança institucional.

 

Os professores convidados são Daniel W. Bromley da Universidade de Wisconsin-Madison, Julie A. Nelson da Universidade de Massachusetts, Boston, e John O’Neill da Universidade de Manchester. Pelo CES participarão como conferencistas José Castro Caldas, Vítor Neves, Tiago Santos Pereira e José Reis.

O idioma de comunicação na Escola de Verão será o inglês.

 

Os interessados devem candidatar-se através do envio para summer2009@ces.uc.pt de um curriculum vitae e de um resumo de duas páginas de um artigo ou ensaio, juntamente com os contactos (Nome, pertença institucional, endereço de e-mail) a enviar.
