Following and deepening a line of research and civic concern concerning labour and labour relations themes, CES is carrying out, during 2008/2009, a conference cycle dealing with these fields and approaching them under multiple perspectives.
The programme, intituled “Labour is[n’t] a commodity” that began October 30th, 2008, with the conference “Questioning Labour and Trade Unionism”, held by Manuel Carvalho da Silva, was followed by the joint conference with Ricardo Antunes and Claudia Nogueira on “Labour and Inequalities within Brazil and the World”, now proceeded by Professor Ilona Kóvacs. Next month will follow a conference by Kauls Doerre.
Biographic Note
Professor Ilona Kóvacs is a reputed expert on Sociology of Economics and Labour, Full Professor at ISEG – University of Lisbon, has been published several times in the field of employment, productive models, flexibility and precarity.
