Biographic note

Silva Rubino holds a doctoral degree in social Sciences at the State University of Campinas (2002). She is full time professor (RDIDP) at the Department of History of the State University of Campinas, lectures graduates and post-graduates, and also the graduate course in Architecture and Urbanism. Was coordinator of post-graduation in History between March 2006 and July 2008, and is Chief of Department of History of the State University of Campinas since December 2008. Conducted a post-doctoral traineeship at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Paris, under supervision of Afrânio Garcia. Experienced in the field of anthropology, focusing on Urban Anthropology, Intellectual History and History of Modern Architecture and Cultural Heritage. Conducts research regarding architects of the “modern movement”, seeking to link gender and cultural history. She integrates , as one of the “main researchers” the thematic Project “Urban Knowledge”, funded by FAPESP and the Brazil-Portugal Network for Urban Studies.
