Collection of essays dealing with the meaning of school in contemporary society and with what it risks to become and with the teacher condition either as an agent of education to concepts and cognitive contents, and as reproducers of society itself, transmitting their values to pupils. The role of the State is discussed for the maintenance of a proper educational system, one that can originate a prosperous society, and reflecting over the relation between the crisis of the Nation-State and the school model. “The objective of this un-covering exercise was to think about education not as an access opportunity to a market citizenship but as a period for the construction of citizenships, which is also a time of instability and legit references for identity attributions”.
