Biography of Armando Guebuza. Born in 1943, the sixth child of eight children, of him was said that he would be an authority that came to fulfil a mission. His father was a male nurse and assisted the birth himself. In 1949 he was in the Associative Centre for the Blacks in the Colony of Mozambique and in 1956 went to the Salazar High School. He met Eduardo Mondlane in 1961, while a member of the UN. He was then President of the Nucleus of African High School Students of Mozambique (NESAM), was arrested and tortured by the PIDE. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs and since 2005 is President of the Republic.
