“With over ten armed conflicts, Africa was entering the new millennium burdened with complex and unsolvable questions leading to some kind of pessimism, while at the same time, under different skies, the new millennium brought promises of better living conditions and the reinforcement of regional regroupings”. The author upholds that the African continent should develop from its own identity and traditions, namely constructing African educational models adapting to the globalization tendencies, and focusing on existing realities of poverty and misery.
