The author tells us in detail about his youth with his relatives. Some parts of this book report to his previous (Memórias do sofrimento na guerra em Moçambique, 2001), namely those concerning military service in Mozambique. He also refers to his work as a mayor and his travels, especially one to Mozambique 40 years after he first went there.
