Chissano, Joaquim (2010)

The former President of Mozambique tells us about being the first black to study in high school and how he started his medical training in Portugal, which he wouldn’t come to conclude because PIDE was following at the time. Co-founder of FRELIMO, he was Prime-Minister during the Transitional Government and later Minister of Foreign Affairs, before reaching the Presidency upon Samora’s death in 1986. It deals with Chissano’s memories from childhood until 1960, when he got to Tanganyika to receive FRELIMO’s training.
