Agronomy Coordinator of the Interdisciplinary University Integration Program of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), from 1989 to 1994 (Cansanção Project). Technical Consultant of the Sustainable Development and Solidarity Development Association of the Sisal Region (APAEB), from 1999 to 2004. He was a technical consultant for the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE). Professor at Feira de Santana State University (UEFS) from 1991 to 1993. Coordinator of the Sustainable Technological Development Project of the Sisal Culture - MCT / FINEP Local Productive Arrangement from 2003 to 2005. Deputy Director of the School of Agronomy of the Federal University of Bahia, from 2004 to 2006. Vice-Rector from 2006 to 2015 and Rector from July 2015 to July 2019 of the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB). Member of the Bahia State Board of Education, from 2014 to 2016. He is currently Associate Professor IV of UFRB and works on projects in the area of ​​solidarity economy and sustainable socioeconomic development as a member of the Solidarity Company Incubator (INCUBA - UFRB). Has experience in the area of ​​Food Science and Technology, acting mainly in teaching and university extension in the following subjects: Food processing and quality and implementation of family farming enterprises. Since September 2019 has been doing post doctoral internship at the Center for Social Studies - CES at the University of Coimbra.
