Professor of Law at the Federal University of the Semi-Arid (UFERSA) in the Center for Applied Social Sciences and Humanities, Campus Mossoró - Rio Grande do Norte - Brazil. Lead Researcher at DigiCult - Studies and Research in Digital Law and Cultural Rights. Member of the Collegiate of the Graduate Program in Law at UFERSA. Member of the Study Group on Cultural Rights of the University of Fortaleza (GEPDC/UNIFOR). Member of the Brazilian Institute of Cultural Rights (IBDCULT). Member of the Copyright and Industrial Law Study Group of the Federal University of Paraná (GEDAI / UFPR). Member of the Institute for Research, Rights and Social Movements (Instituto de Pesquisa, Direitos e Movimentos Sociais - IPDMS). Rodrigo Vieira is currently conducting some research in the areas related to cultural rights, such as cultural heritage, intellectual rights, incentives and promotion of culture, rights of cultural workers, cultural policies and Public Administration of Culture. He is also interested in digital law, the civil framework of the Internet, the impact of new information and communication technologies on law and the relationship between freedom of expression, privacy and the digital environment.
