Marco Antonio Sampaio Malagoli


PhD in Psychology at University of São Paulo (USP), he is currently Associate Professor I at Fluminense Federal University in Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ) working in courses of Geography (Bachelor and Bachelor) and Economics (Bachelor). He coordinates the Political Ecology Studies and Research Group (GEPEP / UFF) and is collaborating researcher at the Environmental Disaster Observatory (ODAm / UFF). His current research focuses on epistemological-pedagogical dimensions in the scientific and militant fields of Political Ecology and Environmental Geography, debating ideas of "nature" and "environment" that permeate socio-environmental conflicts / disasters, as well as teaching-learning approaches. He is also teacher / researcher at postgraduate programs (masters, stricto sensu) in Geography (PPG / UFF) and Regional Development, Environment and Public Policy (PPGDAP / UFF). Graduated in Agronomic Engineering, he has a master's degree in Forest Resources, both at USP. Currently developing stage post-doctoral in Political Ecology in Social Studies Center associated with the University of Coimbra (Portugal) under the supervision of Lucia Fernandes and Stefania Barca.
