Nuno Lopes


Biography

Nuno Lopes (1985). Master in architecture from the School of Arts of the University of Évora and the Politecnico di Milano (2010) and PhD in Heritages of Portuguese Influence, branches of specialization in architecture and urbanism, Institute of Interdisciplinary Research [III] and the Centre for Social Studies [CES] of the University of Coimbra [UC] (2017). After professional experiences in ateliers RCR Architectes (Pritzker Prize 2017) and AV62 Architects, became researcher at CES (2015) and at UNESCO Chair on Intercultural Dialogue on Heritages of Portuguese Influence (www.patrimonios.pt) (2018), in which accumulates functions of coordination advisor. Besides the activity as architect, he has dedicated his research interests to: Heritage, sustainable development, strategic planning, cultural landscapes and creative economy, areas in which he has been pedagogical and scientific advisor, jury of academic degrees, having produced, edited and organized publications, cooperation projects and scientific meetings in Portugal, Cabo Verde, India and Mozambique.
