Andrea Inocêncio


Andrea Inocêncio is a visual artist and performer. Junior Researcher at the Centre for Social Studies (CES) and a Research Fellow for the project "ALL Artist-Led Learning in Higher Education", coordinated by Alison Neilson and sponsored by Erasmus+. Co-organizer of the "Arts-Informed Research" network from CES. Researcher Collaborator at the Office of Cultural Studies, Performative and Audiovisual Arts (GECAPA/CLEPUL) at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. With a degree in "Painting" by ARCA/EUAC. She hold a postgraduate course in "Cultures and Emergent Discourses: from the criticism to the artistic manifestations" by the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, postgraduate course in "Cartoon and Illustration" by IADE-U and a postgraduate course in "Set & Architecture Production Design" by Escuela Superior de Artes del Espectáculo TAI of Madrid. She is currently a PhD candidate of "Contemporary Art" at the College of the Arts of the University of Coimbra in partnership with the CES. She has exhibited and performed regularly for over two decades in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Panama, China and Turkey. She has received several grants and awards and undertaken artistic residencies. Co-founder of the performance collective Malparidas, together with Valeria Cotaimich (AR/ES) and Melina Peña (MX/ES).
