Filipa Pinho


Post-doctoral researcher at NHUMEP | Humanities, Migration and Peace Studies, project: Experiences and expectations of return of new Portuguese emigrants: reintegration and mobilities. Filipa Pinho is a sociologist and holds a PhD degree in sociology awarded by ISCTE-IUL. Her research interests have focused mostly in international migration, youth and migration. Has been invited assistant researcher of the projects PandPAS and Below 10, at CIES-IUL; has been the executive coordinator at the Emigration Observatory since its founding to 2013; has been project coordinator and researcher at International Organization for Migration in Lisbon (2004 and 2014) and researcher in several projects. Among these, it should be highlighted the most recent: Empreender 2020 - The return of a prepared generation (2017) coordinated by Pedro Góis; a project for the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) about the integration and political participation of immigrants (2015), coordinated by CESIS; the project Support and Opposition do Migration in a Comparative Perspective, coordinated by João Carvalho (2017), CIES-IUL.
