Abstract

The Research Seminar was conceived as a space dedicated to the presentation and sharing of data on research projects in the area of Social Museology, developed in the scope of the preparation of PhD theses in Museology, by students from Brazil that participated in Advanced Training Courses in Museology.

The main objective of this seminar is the presentation and discussion, in an academic context, in the form of a seminar, of the data obtained in the different research projects in Social Museology. It seeks to deepen the reflection on the research developed in museology in Brazil and Portugal, as well as in the Portuguese-speaking areas of Mozambique and Cape Verde.

Through academic debate, the intention is to foster researchers' reflection regarding the condition, perspectives and challenges of their research in museology; to discuss and reinforce research methods and scientific practices that promote different levels of participation, knowledges and perceptions in the international framework of museology.
