Synopsis: Ana Clara Guerra Marques is a dancer and a choreographer with a fragile figure. When she was just 16 years old, the government of the new Republic of Angola instructed her to form a classical dance school. Through the study and reinterpretation of traditional elements, she sought new aesthetics and languages to create a contemporary African dance. Despite the civil war that ravaged Angola for 25 years, her company continued to create shows, to discover talents and to keep the dancing flame.

Synopsis: In the late summer of 1980, Alda and Maria, two 16 and 17 year old sisters, arrive in Lisbon to escape the civil war in Angola. Left to themselves, they will have to learn to survive in a foreign city. When problems become almost insurmountable, terrible news arrive. Paradoxically, it is this terrifying news that gives them the power to decide their own destinies.
